What BBF Is
BBF ("Big Bois Federation") is a private, invite-only application operated by Tayler Stoppel for a closed group of family and friends. It is not a public product or commercial service, and accounts are created by invitation only.
Information We Collect
Account information: username, email address, and password (stored hashed).
Phone number, if you choose to provide one, used only for optional SMS notifications you opt into.
Financial account data you link through Plaid, used to power budgeting and transaction features.
Content you create in the app, such as budgets, meal plans, chat messages, and uploaded documents.
How We Use Information
Information is used solely to operate the features you use within BBF. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Limited data is shared with service providers strictly as needed to deliver a feature you've enabled (for example, Plaid for bank account linking, or your mobile carrier for SMS delivery).
Text Messaging (SMS)
If you provide a phone number and opt into SMS notifications, you will receive text messages related to features you've enabled (for example, account or activity alerts). Message frequency varies based on your usage. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Third-Party Services
Bank account linking is provided by Plaid Inc.; their handling of your financial data is governed by Plaid's own privacy policy. AI chat features run on a self-hosted language model and are not transmitted to any external AI provider.
Data Storage & Security
BBF is hosted on infrastructure controlled by its operator. Access is restricted to invited members. No system is perfectly secure, but reasonable measures are taken to protect your information.
Data Retention & Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us below.
Children's Privacy
BBF is not directed at children under 13 and is not intended for use by them.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of BBF after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
